How far in advance should I order my cupcakes or cake?
The earlier the better, however our minimum lead time is 7 days for cakes and 48 hours for cupcakes. Please note once we reach our limit (cake makers can only do so much!!) we will cease taking all orders for that day.
Refund/Exchange Policy
We take pride in our cupcakes and cakes. If you are unhappy with your order and/or purchase, immediately notify us (within 24 hours) of your concern. We retain the right to judge our product quality for ourselves & determine the amount that can be refunded. No refunds will be granted for change of mind.
Order Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change and we will gladly assist you in making changes to your order date and time whenever possible.
We accept weekday cancellations by phone 0403 814 294, or email (hello@thecupcakepatisserie.com.au), at least 5 business days before your event for a full refund, with no time exceptions.
The Cupcake Patisserie reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if insufficient time is given, as stated above, due to costs incurred in the purchase, priority and preparation of the order. It is entirely up to The Cupcake Patisserie’s discretion, to change or otherwise offer any other options to the customer.
Thank you for your understanding.
What temperature should I store my cakes at?
Room temperature is best for your cake or cupcakes. If it’s during Summer, or a hot day, store in the refrigerator and allow time to bring up to room temperature before serving as the chill affects the flavour and ability to cut (around 2 hours at least).
How long will my cakes keep for?
Give in to temptation! It is best to eat your cupcakes or cakes within 24 hours of purchase, however they will last for 2-3 days in the fridge. We bake from scratch, with fresh ingredients (no premix!) which means we don’t put preservatives in our cakes so the butter cake will dry out a little and frosting will harden slightly and deepen in colour over time.
Delivery FAQs
Do you deliver?
Yes we deliver!
What days do you deliver?
We deliver Tuesday – Saturday.
Do you offer Same Day delivery?
Unfortunately we do not offer same day delivery.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery ranges from $10 – $30 (depending on travel distance up to 25km) for an “all day” 9-5pm delivery. This means your order will arrive at any time during these hours. We are unable to guarantee any time frame requests for this option.
If you require your order to be delivered by a specific time, we offer priority for an extra $20.
Please consider having your order delivered the day before if you don’t wish to pay for priority delivery. Your order will keep perfectly overnight in the fridge for your early event the following day!
What happens if no-one is there to accept the order when the delivery driver arrives?
Due to our own strict food guidelines and the heat in Brisbane, if the recipient is not available, cupcakes will be returned to our bakery, and additional delivery fees charged for attempted re-delivery. No refunds for failed delivery will be issued.
Can’t you just leave it on the doorstep?
Most of the time, No.
However – If we are able to contact the recipient, they are close by, or there is a safe, shady, free-from-nasty-cupcake-hungry-ants area, on a not-1000-degree-queensland-day, we may exercise our 1% rule and leave the order where we deem suitable. In these cases, once the order is left, we bear no responsibility for the order once we walk away.
What if I fall-down-go-BOOM with my cake?
If for some reason the cake has been damaged after delivery, then we take no responsibility. However, if you request an emergency call-out, we will endeavour to restore the cake to its original presentation, at an agreed call-out fee.
